Small Circle Mug Rugs
Embroidery designs that combine yarn with embroidery stitches to create lofty realistic texture on a small scale for a mug rug or for a special doll rug. A special foot is required for this technique.
The yarn you choose will need to slide easily through the opening in the couching foot that fits your machine. I have successfully used I Love This Cotton, Peaches & Creme, and Caron Bliss yarns; for the Mug Rugs, I prefer the first two.
Variegated yarns yield interesting stripe patterns and variegated threads create interest in the fringe.
Size ranges from 3.11 inches in diameter for the small mug rugs with no fringe to 3.85 inches in diameter for the small mug rugs with wide fringe.
Formats include EXP, HUS, JEF, PCS, PES, and VP3.
